Quarter Midget Engine Oil

Quarter midget engines are air-cooled, single-cylinder four-strokes running well above their stock RPM range with governors removed and clearances opened up for competition. Standard automotive oil is not a good fit for that environment. The oils in this collection are racing-specific synthetics built to handle the heat, high-RPM foaming risk, and tight bearing clearances common to Honda GX120, GX160, Briggs Animal, and World Formula class engines. AMSOIL Dominator 5W-20 is a popular choice for Honda class engines, while AMSOIL's Briggs and Stratton Synthetic 4T Racing Oil is the go-to in the Animal class community, developed directly in partnership with Briggs engineers for exactly this type of competition use.

Fresh oil every race weekend is the lowest-cost maintenance decision you can make on an engine that is expensive to rebuild. We stock the brands and viscosities that experienced quarter midget teams actually use.
